EMPAT AMALAN BERHADIAH SURGA
God's blessed Friday congregation,
Today we are on the last Friday of the month of Safar 1441
Hijriyah. Precisely on the 26th of Safar 1441. Exactly on this day, 1441 years
ago, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam left for hijrah. Left his house
to move to Yathrib, which would later be called Medina.
The Prophet arrived in Medina on the 12th of Rabiul Awal. Greeted
with joy by the people of Medina.
One of the hadiths that he said in the early days of his stay in
Medina was the four deeds that were rewarded with heaven. He taught his
companions in Medina:
"Spread greetings/peace, give food, continue friendship, pray
at night when others are sleeping, surely you will enter heaven with full
safety." (Narrated by Ibn Majah and Ahmad; Sahih)
1. Spread the Peace
Friday congregation hafidhakumullah,
The Prophet's first message was afsyus salaam. Spread greetings.
Spread peace. The Prophet advised his people when meeting with fellow Muslims
to say greetings. He also ordered his followers to spread peace.
Whenever the time is and wherever it is, a Muslim must be a
spreader of peace. Because one of the meanings of Islam is peace. And from the
beginning Islam loved peace.
Since the first Islamic da'wah after the Prophet received revelations
until his death, no one was forced to convert to Islam. Islam was spread
peacefully, even when the Prophet was hurt while preaching Islam, he did not
immediately respond with violence.
Both in Mecca and in Medina, people converted to Islam peacefully.
Even after the time of the Prophet, no one was forced to convert to Islam.
Including the da'wah of Islam in Indonesia which later became the majority of
Muslims. Islam is spread peacefully, no one is forced because Allah has
confirmed in His word:
There is no compulsion to (enter) religion (Islam).. (Surah Al
Baqarah: 256)
Since the beginning of his da'wah, Islam has been a religion of
peace. The Messenger of Allah gave an example of how to do good to everyone,
even if that person did not embrace Islam.
While in Mecca, Muslims were hurt in such a way. Being scolded,
tortured, and even killed like Yasir and Sumayyah, the Prophet ordered his
people to be patient. It was only in Medina, the verses of jihad were revealed
and a war broke out. However, all the wars that occurred during the time of the
Prophet, were explained by Sheikh Yusuf Qardhawi in Fiqh Jihad as defensive
warfare. War in self-defense.
The Battle of Badr, because at first the Muslims wanted to take
their property which was seized and looted when left behind by the hijrah.
However, after Abu Sufyan's trading caravan escaped, the Quraysh infidels under
the leadership of Abu Jahal wanted to destroy Islam. Then there was a war of
badr.
The battle of Uhud, the Quraish disbelievers wanted to destroy
Medina. So the Muslims were greeted on the hill of Uhud. During the war of
Ahzab, the Quraysh infidels and their allies wanted to attack Medina, so a
trench (khandaq) was made to prevent them from entering Medina. And so on,
every war in the time of the Prophet was always motivated by an attack from the
enemy of Islam.
Likewise historical facts throughout history. Islam is a religion
that loves peace. So if someone accuses Islam of being a violent religion, ask
them. Who started the first world war? Not a Muslim. Who started the second
world war? Not a Muslim.
Who dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima? Not a Muslim. Who
massacred the 20 million Aboriginal people in Australia? Not a Muslim. Who
slaughtered more than 100 million red Indian tribes in North America? Not a
Muslim. Who slaughtered more than 50 million red Indians in the South American
continent? Not a Muslim.
Who made more than 150 million people from Africa as slaves
(apartheid), Among 77% of them died on the way and were buried in the Atlantic
ocean? Not a Muslim.
Who killed millions of Indonesians during 350 years of colonialism?
Not a Muslim. Who killed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and expelled
them from their homeland? Not a Muslim.
